Laci got her shots yesterday, which made for a crabby baby today. I'm lucky in that she doesn't usually get a fever after her shots, but she definitely gets cranky. And today, she was cranky. On top of the cranky baby, I had to deal with animal issues which resulted in every animal being booted from my house indefinitely, and then the vacuum broke. But I'll stop complaining there because Ryan fixed the vacuum, the animals are still outside, and my parents relieved me of cranky baby duty for a couple of hours this evening. Plus, the baby is now sleeping.
Sleeping seems to be a hot topic around here lately, and, apparently, all I needed to get her to sleep was to complain about it, because (with the exception of last night) she has been sleeping 7 to 8 hours every night. What more can I ask for? Well, I could ask for 10 hours, but I think I might be pushing it at this point. In the past, the night of her shots hasn't been a good night for us, so I'll take the four consecutive hours she slept last night as a gift I should not take for granted.
The highlight of today (more for her than for me), was taking the slipcover and cushions off the loveseat to be washed, creating the best playground any baby could ask for. As if you can't tell by the look on her face, she is absolutely thrilled to have a new place to climb and play. Thrilled, I tell you. Truly. Thrilled. Also, cranky. This is what a cranky baby looks like when she's thrilled. Really.

Okay, I might be stretching the thrilled part a little bit. But we did have fun.
Poor baby. :(. Good thing she will be back to her jovial self by Saturday. See you then. :)
