Remember when I was complaining about our "new" summer schedule? No need to worry, I'm no longer complaining...about that. Actually, I think we've adapted pretty well and I've made peace with my solo-ish evenings. In fact, my favorite part has been those two (if I'm lucky) quiet hours I get between the time Laci goes to bed and the time Ryan gets home from work. Quiet time just to myself to do whatever I want, and most importantly, to blog. However, we are currently going through another schedule transition, and, as usual, I'm fighting it every step of the way.
Ryan isn't working seven days a week anymore, and soon, he'll be returning to his day schedule. All good things. All things I've wished to return to our lives. Unfortunately, his return to our home, while wonderful, is completely interfering with my "me" time. Especially my blogging time, as you can probably tell by my sporadic posting. Since Laci has recently decided that she only needs one nap a day, and that nap only lasts 25 minutes unless she is napping ON me, my "me" time has been reduced to what feels like almost nothing. I know, I know, this is just part of being a mother, something I signed up for voluntarily. But, I'm a complainer. And, since we're on the subject of Laci's not sleeping (and complaining), you should know she has only managed to repeat her 8 hours of "sleeping through the night" maybe three times in the last month. I'll take that as progress, albeit v-e-r-y s---l---o---w progress.
So, I think that's enough complaining for now, especially since I'm complaining about something that I've been wanting for the past two months. I'll adjust and when I find the time to blog again more regularly, all will be well. That is, until next year about mid-July when our routine gets turned on its head (kind of like my mom's cabinet after a visit from Laci) and I have to start all over again. I'll probably complain then too. It's just my nature. I'm a complainer.
Don't worry, I am a complainer too.
ReplyDeleteI was complaining about my chores, my house, homework and just life in general today. Oh yeah, and I was complaing because it seems that nobody has been blogging lately, so don't worry, it is a trend right now. :)
