just a lazy day

It is quite possible I was the least productive human on the planet today. All I wanted to do was sleep. Even after I took a nap late this morning. Then I ate a bunch of donut holes and brownies, so yeah, that didn't exactly energize me. The girls were tired too, so I'm chalking it up to having such a fun weekend, too many late bedtimes, and too many early mornings. Eventually, it all catches up with you. 

The girls and I (Ryan is at work) had a fun, quiet evening at home that ended in early bedtimes for both of them. I would show pictures of our fun but Mia was bare butt naked the entire time, and someday she'll thank me for not posting those online. We played in the plastic pool, ate dinner outside, and finished it up with some otter pops. Just a simple evening with my two girls and only a few tiny squabbles. Their innocence never ceases to amaze me. I just love to watch them play together, ask questions, learn about their world, and find joy in the simplest of made-up games.  I couldn't have asked for a better end to my long, lazy day.

And now I'm heading to bed early in the hopes that getting a little extra sleep will give me the energy I need to get stuff done tomorrow.
