Our weekend was amazing. Okay, maybe not amazing, but it sounds better than, "Our weekend was good." The weather was beautiful and warm, we got a lot done (mostly Ryan), and it left a smile on my face. So, yes, it was amazing and good.
On Saturday, Ryan cleared out the blackberry bushes and overgrown brush around the second pond, and then dug the pond a little bit bigger, AND left a big ugly mess behind.
I know it will look much better in the Spring, but for now...gross.
The sun was so bright and warm, it felt awesome. I took some super close-ups of Mia while she played on Grammy's phone. I love her glowing hair.
And Bailee chewed a
I made a roast in the crock pot for dinner with an ENTIRE stick of BUTTER. Ummm, yummmm. I think I could hear my arteries clogging, but it made the most amazing gravy. No pictures, gravy isn't very photogenic.
On Sunday, we decided to assemble the girls' swing set, which was a gift from Ryan's parents for Christmas. It took longer than planned. What assembling project doesn't take forever?
The girls crashed before it was complete, but after naps, they went out to inspect and enjoy.
Thank you new swing set for the best static hair ever.
Laci asked to go for a ride in the back of Ryan's truck, so being the good daddy he is, he drove around the field with all of us girls piled in the bed. Twice. The neighbors might think we've lost it. They would probably be right. She loves to make silly faces and then look at them on the camera.
And in case you aren't familiar with the puppy that is in 99% of my pictures, this is Rose. She goes everywhere with Laci. She is filthy. Oh, and Laci is a puppy 99% of the time as well.
Ryan had to work on Monday, but since the rest of the country did not, I'll pretend it was just another day of our weekend, too. We had dinner with Ryan's family. The kids played with their cousins, we ate, and then we crashed.
It was a good, amazing weekend.
