when you feel better, you play in the mud

I survived my weekend.  Not that survival was really a question, but it is good to be on the other side.  I spent most of Saturday night up with a very sick Laci girl, dozing here and there on the couch when I could.  I was basically a zombie all day Sunday.  We read books, watched movies, played games, tried to nap, built puzzles, and nibbled on saltines and flat soda.  As kids do, she has rebounded completely and spent most of today playing outside.

Mia hasn't shown any symptoms, other than extreme crabbiness...yet.  I'm still waiting for the final verdict on that one.  Her extreme crabbiness could be from a molar that's coming in, and I truly, truly hope that's the end of sickness in our house until at least next year.  Of course, the simple act of typing those words probably jinxed me.

After getting quite a bit more sleep last night, I feel like I can again handle life, the laundry, the dishes, and maybe even making a real meal or two.  I did manage a delicious pot roast on Sunday after sending Ryan to the store for enough supplies to get us through a few days.  Milk and coffee creamer at the top of the list, of course.

I know I must be feeling better because I actually wanted to take some pictures tonight.  And yes, I'm sure I don't really need this many pictures of my kids playing in the mud...but it's just too hard to choose just one.

Here's to a better week.
