We said "good bye" to my Aunty Jenny this morning over french toast and sausages. She's been hanging with us for a week and, as usual, it's been fun. I will have to tell you about my Aunty Jenny someday, and why I call her "Aunty Jenny," but I'll save that for another time.
We also dismantled Christmas. Took down the tree, packed up decorations, vacuumed a bazillion needles off the floor. Unwrapping the lights from the dry branches left our floor looking very forest-like. That's what happens when you leave your tree up for six weeks.
One of us was supposed to be napping. Clearly, she was not.
And now my house is sadly bare. I may have to start decorating around here soon.
All this saying good bye and cleaning makes it feel like a Sunday. And yet, it's only Saturday. There is an entire Sunday left before Ryan returns to work after a relaxing seven weeks off. I'm looking forward to spending our last day together, even if we do nothing.
So, that's all for now. I have more pictures and stories from our first week of the new year, but that will have to wait for another time as well. I have a half dozen other projects calling my name right now. The hard part is deciding what to start first.
I have the best of intentions to return here soon. We'll see how that pans out. In the meantime, I'll leave you with a couple pictures of my sweet niece, because I can't think of anyone who wouldn't want to see pictures of a baby.
What projects are on your agenda for the new year?
Taking pictures and starting a blog........again :)!
