Not today, though. Today was rainy and cool. The air smelled wonderful, and it was nice to turn the a/c off, and I sort of liked it. Except when I had to go grocery shopping and it poured. I got soaking wet putting the groceries into the car. Why don't I let the clerks help me out to the car?
But, mostly, it has been nice and warm. Hot even.
Laci is not super excited about her new swimsuits. This should come as no surprise. She is very resistant to change. Last summer, I bought her a pair of pink jelly sandals. They were so cute! She screamed, truly screamed, whenever they came within ten feet of her. She hated them. Then, after about two weeks of screaming, for no particular reason, she let me put them on. She wore them every single day for the rest of the summer. And then Summer ended and we had to start all over with a different pair of shoes.
Mia likes the pool too, but it is a little hazardous for her with her crazy big sister manning the hose. And I can't take pictures of her when I'm walking circles in the pool holding her hands. She's taken a few steps on her own, four in a row even, but she much prefers to hold someone's hands and walk. Oh, and she finally has a tooth. Just one. Ten months old and one measly tooth. But the other is on it's way through any day now.
And since the pool and grass and shade are at Grammy's house, that means we get to see a lot of Maverick. And Molly the beagle, too, although she isn't really into playing much these days. And really, these pictures are for my mom because I keep forgetting to send them to her. So, Mom, just save these ones to your computer.
Here's a tip for Costco shopping:
ReplyDeleteWhen they check your receipt at the door, say, "Can I get a little help loading my groceries?" Then leave your cart right outside the door. Go load the kids. Then pull your car up right in front. They'll load the Costco stuff for ya.
I do this EVERY TIME. I started when I was nine months pregnant with Ike. Weird that I haven't stopped. ;)
