Last weekend, while Laci and I were picking pumpkins, Ryan was installing overhead lights in the shop. Finally, he can see in there, even when it's dark outside. Normal people don't build shops so tall that it requires a scissor lift to install the light fixtures. My husband is not normal. Then again, neither am I, so maybe that's why we're a good match. This weekend, I'm avoiding all chores and hibernating inside.
Last weekend, it was sunny and warm and I took my camera everywhere. This weekend, it is rainy and gray and dark and I haven't taken the camera out all week. It has been very uninspiring weather. Tomorrow is Sydney's birthday party and I'm hoping to get some good pictures to share.
Last weekend, we played outside and BBQ'd our dinner. This weekend, I made homemade potato soup and I've already eaten two bowls with fresh french bread. I went to my mom's house this morning and went on a sewing frenzy while Laci watched The Little Mermaid for the first time. Ok, she didn't really watch it, but that is probably because Elmo isn't in the movie. But watching it did bring back memories of my childhood. It left me feeling warm and fuzzy inside, as only Disney can do.
Last weekend felt like Summer. This weekend feels like Winter.
I supposed that means it is really Fall.
