I forgot what I was going to say...

I took a ton of pictures on Saturday.
Can you tell?
I just couldn't resist her chubby thighs
and no diaper-wearing tushie.

She couldn't resist the hose,
and the opportunity to "run" away from me.
It is getting so hard to take her picture these days because
she is rarely still.
She's still my favorite subject though.

I was perusing the blogging world today and came upon the blog of a mom
who has a daughter
who suffers from a disease I can barely pronounce,
let alone understand.
They seem like an amazing family.
I can only imagine the strength it must take
to be the parent of a child who struggles with her health every single day.
I can tell from her writing she more than cherishes the good moments.
She more than celebrates each milestone.
You can read about their story here.

I know how very blessed I am to have a baby
whose health has never been an issue,
who won't stand still to have her picture taken,
who can walk, play, and even breathe, with ease.

I uploaded these pictures this morning with a completely different post in mind.
But it has been a long day,
as most days are lately,
and I have no idea what I was originally planning to say.
I think it was something to the effect that I took a lot of pictures on Saturday,
in manual,
and then processed them with the Pioneer Woman's Seventies action at 50%.

I was kinda proud.
But it really doesn't matter.
Because the technical quality of my photos (if there is any)
pales in comparison to the moments I captured.
Never again will it be her first day in a "new" hand-me-down swimsuit.
Never again will it be her first independent walk across grammy's lawn.
In fact, even as I look at this last picture now,
I think her thighs must have shrunken some in the past few days from all her walking.
Never again will her thighs be exactly that chubby.
And after my day today, to know that these won't be her last "firsts" is more than enough for me.
