Me and My Girl

My mom took these pictures on Fourth of July.

I love them.

Just me and my girl - hanging out on the bench swing.

She was being a crazy lunatic - Laci, that is.

Flopping around like a fish out of water.

She thought it was great.

I like them because they are so "us" right now.

Baby without a shirt.

My hair in a beyond fashionable messy ponytail.

Frizzy hairs everywhere.

My standard black shirt.

Laci with a healing bruise on her face.

Love it all.

I especially love this second one because, if you look really close,

you can see her top tooth.

I call it "the fang."

When it first popped through, I thought it was one of the middle front teeth.

I know most kids have gapped teeth when they come in, but I thought this was a little crazy.

With teeth gapped that far, she would look like Goofy.  Or a vampire.

Turns out, it is one of her eye (i?) teeth.

Thank goodness for that.

Her other fang and the two middle ones are working on coming through right now.

All at the same time.

It has been a long day.

I really love this one too.

It was the end of a long, hot day with lots of playing and not so much napping.

I think we all felt a little bit like this.

Well-sunned, sticky, and tired.

It was a good time.
