midweek randoms and unrelated pictures

 

For those who check this blog to see if I've had a baby...

I have not. 

I firmly believe babies arrive when it's the right time. That being said, I think now would be a great time. Or five minutes from now. Or five hours from now. Really. Let's go. 

I know I don't really have room to complain, I'm not even to my due date. But I've already had two babies early and I just figured this one would follow suit. I should have known that Y chromosome would change the game. And this is just the beginning. Wait until he's here in person. 

Wait. Yes, that's what we're doing. Little man in there: we want to meet you!

In other household events, Mia and Laci have colds. Mia has significantly more snot rockets than Laci, either because Laci just hasn't caught up yet or because Mia has no clue how to blow her nose. She isn't sleeping well, which means I'm not sleeping well, which means I'm tired, and have I mentioned that being sick is dumb? Because it is. 

Bailee got sprayed by a skunk a couple nights ago. Both dogs have been bathed, bedding thrown out, and the smell is finally almost gone. She has a habit of trying to play with skunks around dusk. It has been a few years since she was last sprayed. I guess she just needed a reminder on why we don't play with skunks. 

I haven't had my "real" camera out much lately. We are having an argument about focus, and while I would like to blame the camera, I'm sure the problem stems more from the camera user. My phone camera alleviates this problem, as I expect very little from its limited capabilities. And yes, those pictures up top are "real" camera pictures. The only ones I've taken in the last week. 

My brain is mush these days. I spent five minutes this afternoon looking for a bottle of milk that I swore I put in the diaper bag. After looking around the house and in the bag several times, guess where I found it? In the diaper bag. 

And that seems like a good place to stop rambling.
