everyday stuff

April has been a low-key month.  The house is done, no major decisions there.  We finally got some new couches, so we are no longer on the "bring your own chair" policy.  Ryan has been working something like 70 hours a week (no exaggeration), so the girls and I have just been hanging out, doing the nothing kind of things you're allowed to do when your children are little and don't have to go anywhere at a specific time.

When it was raining out, we played inside.  Laci played with trains.  Mia destroyed them.

We wore pajamas more often than not.

We ventured out when necessary.  A Costco trip was especially eventful as I squished Mia's finger between two carts and she hollered loud enough for everyone in the warehouse to hear.  Then she discovered there are food samples at Costco and hollered at the top of her lungs again (back arching included) until I fed her the rest of my teriyaki rice.  This girl is serious about food.

When the weather was nice, we played outside.

We visited Grammy and Papa's house and played on the swing set.

One of us practiced standing.  And cruising.  And learning to maneuver the baby walker.  And pretty much get into anything and everything that she isn't supposed to get into.  And fall a few times.  And get a few bruises.  And then keep on practicing.

We played kitchen.  Laci makes great sandwiches.

We colored.  Sometimes on paper.  Sometimes on our arms.

There was an early morning cinnamon roll session with daddy.  It was really early.

And, of course, there were naps.  Though not nearly enough of them.

As we approach May, I know the weather will warm up and there will be more outdoor time and less pajama time.  But we will still be able to do what we want, when we want.  I just hope that includes more napping.
