hope

Easter weekend is here.  A time when some celebrate hope, some celebrate a few days off work, some don't celebrate at all.

We will be spending Easter Sunday with Ryan's family, and I'm looking forward to fun cousin time for Laci.  I will be trying a new green bean recipe tomorrow - a recipe tried and true for many, but I have honestly never cooked green beans in my life, except from a can.  I have a personal rule about not trying new recipes when it really matters if things go wrong, a trial run is never a bad idea.  But it's pretty basic, and I don't really like green beans anyway, so I'm just going to cross my fingers and go with it.  Bacon and green beans, you can't mess that up, right?

I'm also looking forward a visit from my Aunty Jenny and new baby Justin, spending lots of time with my family this week, eating good food (because that's what we do best), and hopefully getting a few projects done around the house.  Also, hoping for good weather and the opportunity for many pictures.
