Peach...oh, you elusive peach.
Peach was a challenge.
Peaches are not in season.
I wasn't about to purchase some terrible store peaches just for a photo op.
So, I looked for "peach" elsewhere.
I looked to the crayon box.
But Crayola calls this apricot.
I looked to my coffee cup, which I love.
I love it because it holds my most favorite warm drink.
I love it because it reminds me of Pooh's honey pot.
I'm thinking this is more salmon pink than peach.
I looked to my yarn stash.
The label calls this color "gerbera daisy."
Really?

Peach was difficult!! Funny how so many things that "Look peach" just arent (even though the are)!! Love the hat, did you make that?
ReplyDeleteDoes your mom can peaches?
ReplyDeleteShe usually makes jam when the peaches are in season. Which makes me laugh because I know she has a large stash of peach jam jars somewhere and I didn't even think to take a picture of them. I did take pictures of the peaches and jam last summer though, here: http://rtedwardsfam.blogspot.com/2011/09/flashback-end-of-july-2011.html
DeleteLove the hat! I seriously think you need to give me some lessons. :) I just imagine I can make things like that.
ReplyDeleteLove your hunt for peach. I had a similar experience. I even went to the crayons but I still buy the fat crayons for my kids so I only had about 12 colors...and peach wasn't one of them.
ReplyDeleteI like to color with the fat crayons better. I think all the colors should be chunky, including peach!
Deletehahaha! tough time finding a little peach - i am with you on those store bought peaches - they are usually hard as rocks down here in florida! i think your mug shot is my favorite :) and it does remind me of pooh! haha!
ReplyDeleteI love your hunt for peach! The mug is fantastic. I love interesting and colorful mugs. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the yarn shot. See, there are just so many variations of "peach" and that's why I stuck with the fruit. LOL.
ReplyDeletei love seeing everyone's variations on peach, i really like your first photo of the crayon, thanks for sharing...
