Lazy boy Holmes almost redeemed himself today.
I said ALMOST.
I look out the back door and see him coming up the steps with something in his mouth.
Oh boy, another gopher.
Good job, Holmes.
I go get my camera and he drops the thing on the patio for me to admire.
Sadly, the little critter is wounded, but not dead.
I go back inside for a second to set the camera down
and when I turn around, the gopher is gone, but the cat is still there.
Um, pretty sure Holmes didn't swallow the gopher whole.
No, he let another one go.
Nice going, Holmes.
On the other hand, one of the dogs (not sure which one) went for the kill.
See my little snake fairy dancing?
Don't worry, he's dead.
Really dead.
Not wounded.
Dead.
Good dog.
i could not handle that! ONce I saw a snake in my yard and the 6 year old neighbor boy came and got rid of it for me.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, that's probably the snake that I almost ran over a couple of weeks ago. I found a little red racer in my front yard the other day, he was very sweet. He even hung out with me for awhile before I moved him to the side of my house.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm not a huge fan of snakes either. I try to not freak out too much unless they're little rattlesnakes, which we also have here. Fortunately for me, Ryan is usually the one to find them and he is more scared of them than I am.
ReplyDeleteYou know, im pretty creeped out by snakes too, but I have this odd soft spot for all creatures (creepy or not) and always make Bobby carefully return them -FAR away from me- nature :)
ReplyDeleteAnd, if I had a toddler, I too would have her picture taken next to a dead animal :) heheh
