picking up rocks

Most people who meet Laci think she's a little "mini-me".

And they're mostly right.

However, there's no denying there is more than a little Ryan in her too.

Couldn't have planned it better if I tried.  Especially the first one.

I love it.

On this day, we were walking on the "race track" around our field, just trying to wear her out.

Ryan was picking up rocks off the track and throwing them to the side, so Laci decided to copy him.

Only she obviously can't throw the rocks that far, so she walked them off the track.

It was then I remembered one of the reasons we decided to start a family:  Free Labor.

Soon we'll have little people to rake leaves, pick up rocks and apples, and take out the trash.

Ok, probably not for a while, and probably not without argument.

I'll admit I was never too willing to volunteer for chores.

But still, it was too cute to see her mimicking him.

Now, if we could only get her to mimic some words.

Or to look at the camera and smile.
