cousins and stuff

Way back at the beginning of July, we had a little extended family gathering with cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, parents...whatever other titles might be appropriate for people you're related to. We haven't gathered together like that in two years, and the last time was for a funeral. This time we had a much more joyful reason to gather:  to celebrate new baby Willa, born to one of my many cousins and his wife, and Miss Harper, who hadn't met most of the family yet. Two great reasons to overindulge in delicious food and catch up with one another.

Little Miss Willa.  I love the black/white, but I also love her red hair.

Miss Harper

As we usually do, we got on the topic of what constitutes a first cousin, second cousin, first cousin once removed, blah blah blah. We consulted the googles and contemplated creating a chart for future reference. I have no doubt this topic will come up again. But I have neither the time or energy to do so and will therefore handle it as I always have: "These people are my COUSINS."  Well, at least most of them are, some are my aunts and uncles, sisters, daughters, a mom, and a grandma, but you get the idea. Yay! for cousins and having so many of them.

For my aunt Donna:
Back row: Bernie, Dale, Dana, Damon, Austin, Matt, Jon, Brandon, Dave, Robert
Next row:  William, Mia, Becka, Kristina, Beth, Candy, Cassidy, Jessica holding Willa, Aletha, JoEllen, Jen holding Justin, Bob, Me
Sitting in chairs:  Donna, Martha, Claudia, Sharron, Steve (kneeling)
Front row:  Kailyne, Ryan, Laci, Caleb, Meghan, Harper, Elizabeth

Baby nap time.

So, I may have accidentally stepped on my own daughter causing this traumatic meltdown.

Also, this is a lot of boring family pictures, but I figured this was a good place to put them all together.

 Kids are just so cooperative.

If you are so lucky to call yourself a member of this crazy family and would like a printable copy of any of these pictures, shoot me an email, Facebook me, call me, whatever, and I will send them to you. If you print from the blog, it will be ugly, ugly, ugly.

Hope to see you all again soon!!
