it has been too long

Well, hello there. I'm still here. Not here on the blog so much, but still living, breathing, carrying on.

Thanks for the congratulations. We are very excited for another little baby. Praying for a healthy one this time. For those asking for details, I'm 17ish weeks, due mid-November. We don't know if the little one is a boy or girl yet, hoping to find out in a few weeks.  And I'm feeling just fine, maybe a little tired, but not sick.

In fact, I was only sick for a few weeks in the beginning. That probably accounts for my not blogging for part of March and April. But I can't really blame the rest of my absence on baby sickness. I blame April, May, and now part of June on the kids being sick (a LOT), and just plain laziness. It seems I've just sort of given up on all kinds of things lately.

Like, you might remember at the beginning of the year, I set out to take a picture a day. Well, my camera hasn't been out of the case in over a week now. A week!!  I haven't gone that long without taking a picture in a couple of years. But I missed like half the days in May and then June rolled around and I just gave up. Just like that. I'm a quitter. And now, my type A craziness won't let me start fresh in the middle of June. I'm not sure where to go from here.

But really, I DO want to get back to blogging more regularly. I feel like parts of our life are missing. Sure, I managed to blog a few things in the past few months, but I've missed the little stuff. Playing in the pool at my mom's, sitting on our back porch, making messes. Lots of messes. And since that's what makes up most of our lives, I feel like it should be recorded somewhere.

How will I get back in the groove?  I have no idea, but I'm hoping this rambling mess of thinking out loud will be a start. And to go with this rambling mess of thinking out loud, I'll add a random set of pictures that I think are from April but I can't really remember because it has been too long.

The girls watching daddy drive in after work.

Mia's hair CAN look cute at times.
This is not one of those times.
Most of the time, it's like this, just barely contained.

She made a bread smile. :)

We eat a lot of spaghetti.

Mia's just a little momma.  Almost always has a baby tucked under her arm -
patting, feeding, buckling into strollers.
She will be a great help with the new baby.  Probably too much help.

She's looking so grown up.  Almost four!

Love her.

And her.

The end.
