I don't get the opportunity to photograph other mothers often, but I feel like every picture I take of my girl and her daily activities is a celebration of motherhood. Only as a mother have I begun to see eating a snack or taking a nap as moments to be treasured, captured, and not forgotten.
And what says motherhood more than a growing belly? I will be 25 weeks tomorrow. What!? Did you forget I was even pregnant? Don't worry, sometimes I forget too. Second child syndrome has begun early in our household. I have far fewer moments than I did with Laci to just sit and soak in the pregnancy glow while baby girl kicks around inside me. When I do get those few precious moments, though, they are that much sweeter.
I must improve on my self-portrait skills...I think I'll make that a goal. And in my announcing it as a goal here on this public blog, I'm almost guaranteed to do nothing about achieving it. As you can see, my assistant is of absolutely no help either.
The one of Laci in the chair is absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree, I love the pony tails. :) I have to agree about the second child syndrome thing. Sometimes I forget how soon there will be another one, only a few months. :) Yay!
ReplyDeleteIf you figure out how to do good self-portraits, let me know. I have no idea what I am doing there.
ReplyDeleteYou look great, by the way! Congrats!
